Romans 10:17 says that ‘Faith comes by hearing, and by hearing the word of God’. The Christian life is a life of faith; and when you start tapping into faith, you start winning. The battlefield of our own minds can create an illusion which causes us to listen to the lies of the devil instead of hearing the truth of God’s Word. We hear so many times folks who have prayed and did not receive saying things like: ‘It is all in God’s time, not ours’ – or – ‘Maybe it is not in God’s Will for me…’ God wants our joy to be full; and if what you are praying about is inline with God’s Word, then the problem is not with God’s time or will, but it is your faith. That is why it is of vital importance that we teach folks to identify their calling in life. If you don’t know your calling in life then you might just be praying a miss; but if you know what your calling is and you study the Word of God; then what you ask is what you will get, because it will work together in favor of your calling.

As a Christian, God wants you to grow; that is why the Word of God admonishes us to study and meditate on the Word. There is so much God wants us to receive, but if we don’t do our part in studying and meditating on the Word of God, then our knowledge will not increase; and when knowledge doesn’t increase, then your understanding will not increase. Without understanding, wisdom cannot be imparted unto you. All these things are what frames faith. Without a strong framework, your faith will remain weak. We need to develop unshakable faith, faith which does not waver by every blow of wind or waves. Hosea 4:6 says that God’s people perish for the lack of knowledge. Knowledge are the very base on which faith are build. It is not good enough for a Christian to go to church and listen to the teachings, even if you go to church everyday; you ought to study the Word of God for yourself daily.
Concerning the administration of the Word of God; the book of Luke in chapter 9 and verse 2 says: ‘Preach the Good News and heal the sick.’ Over in Romans 10:17 the Bible tells us that ‘Faith comes by hearing, and by hearing the word of God’. Many Christians walks around with sickness in them; some have been diagnosed with cancer or HIV and think that is their end. No; learn to hear the Word of God. You might be listening to the Word of God today, but you ought to hear it. We listen by the sense of our ears, but hearing something is done by the mind. You can listen to something, but not hear it. You will not gain understanding by only listening with your ears only, you must hear it with your mind to understand it. A lot of folks listen to the Word of God, but they don’t hear the Word of God. This is important; for faith comes by hearing; and HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD. That’s why you sometimes find that we will preach the Word of God and then minister healing, but not everyone will receive healing; yet, by the Spirit of God at work in us, healing was given.
As a minister of the Word I have a responsibility to preach the Good News to the lost and administrate healing to the sick, but it is the responsibility of the sick to hear the Word of God. The one ministering the Word and healing folks can’t hear for you, you need to hear it for yourself; that way your faith are being increase; and you will be able to receive that which are being freely given to you. You can’t turn around and blame the minister if you haven’t received; the minister has already applied faith by believing in the Word he/she is ministering. If they didn’t believe that Word, they wouldn’t preach it.
Now faith is more than just believing; therefore it is important to grow and increase in faith. When we look at Mark 16:17-8, it tells us 5 things: “These signs shall follow them that believe; In my name they will cast out devils, they shall speak in new tongues, They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” With this, it is clear that these signs are not given for the benefit of those who believe, but instead for those who do not believe so that they may come unto believing. This is where you need to grow. Move from simply believing to knowing. The more you hear the Word of God, the more your faith will increase; and the conviction of the Word will increase in you to simply knowing that what ever the Word of God says, IT IS SO with no doubt. You know because the Bible said so; and that’s the end of discussion. If the Bible says you are blessed [Eph.1:3], then you declare: ‘I am blessed in Jesus name – if the Bible says you are healed [Isa.53:5], then you declare: ‘I am the healed in Christ’; no matter what others say, no matter how things look around you; the Bible says so and that means that God said so, therefore we also say so.
There are levels of faith; and at first you might just hear or read about Jesus. Moving on you starts to meditate on the Word and you start studying the Word more. As you are stirred up by revelation, you might start reading to others or reading out loud to yourself; at this point you start hearing the Word of God. Once you start comprehending the Word of God, then you start confessing the Word and start making faith declarations according to the Word. Your faith are being increased; and before long you will find that your faith wants to roar – so let it roar, because nothing can come in the way of roaring faith. Roaring faith is what gives substance to your faith [Heb.11:1].

Join us where you are in partaking in COMMUNION
prepare for yourself and loved ones a cup of red grape juice and a piece of bread
Place your hands over the cup and bread; and pray thus:
‘Dear Lord God; I ask you to bless this cup as it represents the blood of Your dear Son, Jesus Christ; and also bless this bread as it represents the body of Jesus which was broken for us. Let Your Spirit be released over these items and bless us as we partake in communion as You have commanded us. In the name of Jesus – Amen!’
Let’s read together; Matthew 26:26-28
“And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said: Take, eat, this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying: Drink ye of it. For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the wine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.”
Before partaking in the cup and bread, take a moment and release all types of un-forgiveness; clear your heart and mind, and forgive the trespasses of anyone who might have wronged you in any way; for 1 Cort.11:27 says that anyone who partakes of the cup and bread in an unworthy manner is drinking condemnation unto themselves.
Take up the cup and give thanks. Thank the Lord for being the ultimate sacrifice for all mankind’s sins, for taking your place on the cross so that you may have salvation.
Drink from the cup – Amen!
Break the bread and give thanks. Thank the Lord once again for giving Himself up, for His body being broken so that it may be well with you. Isa.53:5 says that by His stripes you were healed; therefore, you walk in divine health as the curse of sickness and disease has been broken from your life.
Break the bread and eat – Amen!
Declaration [say this aloud]
‘I declare in the mighty name of Jesus that all things work together for my good. I walk in the consciousness that the Lord has brought me out of darkness into His marvelous light. I therefore function from darkness into light; wherever I go, my world and the atmosphere around me are illuminated. Even I walk through the valley of the shadows of death, I will fear not evil. A thousand may come by my side, even ten-thousand on my right-hand, but no evil will near me. I am more than a conqueror; my path is a path of continual triumph. I exalt the Lord my God, for the Lord is my shield and my safe haven. No sickness or disease has a hold on me, no luck for I walk in the favor of the Lord. I command every force of evil against me to step aside; and every force of wickedness against me to be cast away. I declare that I am a child of God, for the lines have fallen unto me in pleasant place. Divine health is mine, prosperity is mine; my life is upward and forward; I live a life of peace, joy, happiness, and full of love and compassion. Who can come against me if God is for me – Hallelujah!’
