The Fullness & Reality of God

Every person who comes unto salvation knows the name of Jesus, but very little Christians ever comes to really know Jesus. This is really sad, because the Bible is the very revelation of God revealed to us. There’s a real need for the church to know who they are serving; for the bigger part of the church today has lost the revelation of the God they serve; and are very easily deceived by false and watered down doctrines. Hence, the signs and wonders which are to follow them that believe are seen less and less; and the world is eagerly awaiting for the manifestation of the sons of God.

We pray to God to do this and do that; having a complete misconception of prayer. We don’t know the God we serve, yet we proclaim His name and make bold statements while our very lives preach a contradicting messages. Do we not know that we are born of God; do we not know that in Him we live and that He lives in us…

Let us examine the scripture and discover the one and only true God of Christianity. It is very important that we start this off by looking at the Gospel of John chapter 1 and from verse 1 – “In the beginning was the Word (remember Genesis 1:1 – ‘In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.’), and the Word was with God (Remember John 6:63 – ‘It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.’), and the Word was God (Remember John14:6 – ‘Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life.’). 2 The same was in the beginning with God (Gen.1:2). 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made (Psalm33:6). 4 In him was life (Remember what we just saw in John14:6 – Jesus is the life); and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not (Gen.1:3).” These are some references of what we see in John1:1-5.

From John 1 verse 9 – “That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world (no matter you born again or not, you can’t be born into this world without Jesus giving you life). 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not” (John1:9-10). Now in the Old Testament the folks didn’t know Jesus. When Joshua saw the Commander of the Lord’s army, he didn’t know that he saw Jesus (see Josh.6).

From John 1 verse 12 – “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name (the name of Jesus): 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh (the same Word which was in the beginning – Gen.1:2), and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth” (John1:12-14).

From John 1 verse 16 – “And of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. 18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bossom of the Father, he hath declared him” (John1:16-18). John here tells us that until then, no man has seen God, but now God is standing in front of us in the flesh and His name is Jesus.

Know this today, Every time you call upon the name of Jesus, the Holy Spirit shows up. And here is another remarkable thing Jesus said of the Holy Spirit – in John14:10 Jesus calls the Holy Spirit Father: ‘Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me?’ We know that the Father is seated on His Throne in Heaven; and that it is the Holy Spirit that came unto Jesus at His baptism at the Jordan (Matt.3:13).

Now in John 14:20 Jesus says: ‘On that day you will realize that I am in my Father.’ Jesus was talking here about the day when the Holy Spirit will come unto men and women; this revelation will accompany the Holy Spirit.

John 10:30 also says: “I and the Father are one.” Man was made in God’s image and after His likeness (Gen.1:27). In the same manner as you are body, soul and spirit and are all one; so too Jesus, the Father and the Holy Spirit are One God.

Jesus tells us alot in the Bible which reveals Himself as the One True God of all. He says: ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life’ (John14:6). Let’s look carefully at this – Jesus says: ‘I AM’ – God also said to Moses, ‘Tell them I AM THAT I AM had sent you’ (Exd.3:14). Jesus says that ‘I AM the WAY… No one comes to the Father except through me.’ He says: ‘I AM the TRUTH’ – which is the Word of God. He says: ‘I AM the Life,’ which we see these things in John chapter 1 from verse 1 – “In him was life; and the life was the light of men” (John1:4) – light represents life.

Every time God spoke of Himself He says I AM and every time the prophets spoke of Him they said HE IS. Remarkable that Jesus says the same about Himself.

Through the revelation and knowledge of scripture we see that:
God doesn’t live, He is life
God doesn’t exist, He is existence
God isn’t in eternity, He is eternity

God is!
He is the beginning
He is the end
He is the way
He is the truth
He is the life
He is the ‘I AM THAT I AM’
…no one can argue it even they try and want to.

Everything exist through, by, in, and for Him. In everything God is; and God is in everything. What a revelation! All and all, without God nothing will be that is; and nothing can be without God being.

Jesus is the expressed image of God and all the fullness of God dwells in Him by the Holy Spirit (Col.2:9); and now that we have received the Holy Spirit, that same fullness dwells in us. Now we are the sons of God (1John3:2), and as Jesus is expressed as the Son of God, we are now called the sons of God. More so, Jesus is the expressed image of the Father; so too are we the expressed image of God. This is Christianity: to bodily express the inner workings of God in the human body outwardly.

You are made in the image of God and also after the likeness of God; more than what you realize and or will ever except; and God / Jesus came in the form of flesh to prove it to us, but still we don’t recognize it (John1:10). Jesus is everything God is; He is the bodily expressed image of God. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Jesus, and He is the fullness of God. Jesus is the fullness of God expressed in bodily form. Everything God the Father is, everything God the Holy Spirit is, that is everything Jesus is. The God-head is three personalities equally expressed as ONE in Jesus Christ. The Word of God is God’s revelation of Himself to man; and that revelation was made flesh unto all men. Jesus makes the fullness of God a reality to you and me. Without Him there can’t be Christianity – in fact: He IS Christianity.

To the house of Israel God had given His Word, and the whole of Israel knew this by the words of the prophets: ‘Thus says the Lord….’ To the disciples God had given His Word to dwell with them, and they knew this when Jesus said: ‘I AM…’ Every time Jesus spoke the Word He said: ‘Verily, verily I say unto you…’ Not ‘Thus say the Lord; but verily, verily I SAY UNTO YOU.’ He didn’t speak through men, He spoke as God. To the Church God had given us the name of Jesus; and the world knows this because we say: ‘In the name of Jesus…’ We stand in Jesus’ stead; we express Him to our world, without us the world will not know Him; because in us dwells Christ Who IS… He is the fullness of God in bodily form (Col.2:9). What a revelation, what glory, what honor.

Whenever you call upon the name of Jesus, it is the Holy Spirit Who shows up in all the fullness of God (Col.2:9), but you must have the revelation of Who Jesus Christ is.

In conclusion; let us take a look at the direct impact the Holy Spirit has on our lives. Over and above that the Holy Spirit makes real God in His fullness and bringing about a tangible revelation of Jesus Christ to the believer; He also has 7 definite works within the life of every believer.

He is our:
1) Comforter
2) Helper
3) Counselor
4) Advocate
5) Strengthener
6) Intercessor
7) Standby

All 7 of these synonyms helps us in expressing God to our world.

He Comforts us when we down, so when the world looks at us, all they see is joy, love, and peace.

He Helps us to succeed in everything we do.

He Counsels us with sound words and knowledge.

He is our Advocate when trouble arise, He fights our case for us.

He Strengthens us in moments of weakness that even the strong can’t stand successfully against us.

He Intercedes on our behalf for the things we don’t know about and can’t see.

He Stands by us in every place we find ourselves; for He will never leave us nor forsake us.

He is called the ‘Allos Parakletos’ – the One exactly the same like Jesus Christ Himself; and now that you born again, He lives and abides in you – all you need to do is abide in Him – Amen!

The world knew God because Jesus came and one day will come again; and today we know it because the Holy Spirit through faith had made this revelation a reality.
